April 7th Meeting Raised Peyote - Cellini
You can use sizes 15° 11° and 8° (quantities suggested are approximate) but you can also use 11° 8° and 6° instead, which will build up faster. You may also make it wider - just adapt the bead count accordingly.
Supplies needed (minimum amounts):
5g 15/0 Miyuki beads
12g 11/0 Miyuki beads
36g 8/0 Miyuki beads
(Toho beads are heavier. Count more.)
Also, a magnetic slide clasp will allow you to fold the end ribbon of your bracelet/necklace around the bars. Makes a nice finish.
Please get a head start and make about one inch (more or less) of the even-count peyote using your smallest beads so that you have something to hold onto.
Below is a pdf from the Cellini Freaks Facebook group. We have permission from the author of this project to use it in class. She would like us to send her photos of what we make after class, and we’re sure you’ll be happy to do that. Raised Peyote Necklace
