The theme for our 4th Annual Bead Challenge was “Beading by the Sea”. There were 16 entries. The only requirements were that it was a wearable piece with a functional clasp. Participants used their own beads and components for the piece. Those who attended our 14th Annual Bead Bazaar voted for their favorite piece.

For the 3rd Annual Bead Challenge the members were given the theme "Say It With Flowers". The project was to be a wearable piece that would fit on a display neck. The entrants were allowed to use flower beads or create flowers with beads for the piece. There was no kit to be purchased, instead they were to use their imaginations and materials. The pieces were displayed at the 13th Annual Bead Bazaar and again the shoppers voted for their favorite piece.

Bead Society members were offered a mystery selection of beads from which they were to get creative. The rules stated that: they must use everything in the kit, they could only add findings, and the finished piece must be a wearable piece of jewelry. The resulting necklaces were beautiful, each showing the beader's expertise and creativity. The pieces were displayed at the 12th Annual Bead Bazaar and the shoppers voted for their favorite.
